Alternative Medicine Job Search Resources

According to the American Hospital Association, in 2008 over 20% of community hospitals offered some type of health care system or treatment that was not based on traditional Western allopathic medicine. That's a 200% increase from ten years early when only 8.6% of hospitals reported offering those same services. The last decade has seen a tremendous growth in mainstream adoption of alternative and complimentary medicine. According to Barrie R. Cassileth, MS, PhD, the chief of the Integrative Medicine Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, now a majority of U.S. cancer centers offer some form of complementary therapy. Alternative medicine is becoming less alternative every day and this trend is expected to continue.
