Clinical Nurse Specialist Salary Information

Clinical nurse specialists earn a base salary of $64,851 to $84,394 per year as of July 2010, according to The PayScale Report. Annual bonuses of $570 to $5,087 and profit sharing of $486 to $2,056 can produce total pay of $66,017 to $87,896.

The highest-paying specialties are labor and delivery at $68,047 to $91,514 and geriatrics at $64,195 to $90,832. An increase in the number of childbirths and an aging population are behind these numbers.
