Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic Salary Information

Most emergency medical technicians on average earn between $24,000-35,000 annually.

Salaries for an EMT with a basic certification start at around $22,000 and can be as high as $34,000, and the salary level for an EMT with an intermediate certification is typically somewhere from $30,000 to $42,000 a year. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics the average annual salary for an EMT in the U.S. in 2009 was $31,980.
