Nursing Informatics Schools and Colleges

Many nursing informatics specialists hold masterís degrees, but graduate study is not required to obtain entry-level employment in this field. Those with masterís degrees in nursing informatics enjoy better job and promotion opportunities. Students enrolled in these programs complete research and take courses that combine technology with nursing.

To be admitted into a nursing informatics masterís program, applicants are required to hold a bachelorís degree in a nursing or healthcare related field. Those who complete graduate-level nursing informatics training are eligible to become professionally certified. These programs take a year to complete. During these programs, students are required to complete numerous information science and nursing courses.
